russian economyAt the origin of the revolution in Russia there was the war crisis, but also a deep economic crisis. Despite the efforts made in previous years, the Russian industry was not able to keep up with the needs of the war. Even the food crisis worsened dramatically. Focal point of this crisis was the capital, St. Petersburg, where already before 1917 strikes in the factories had multiplied, demonstrating that the collapse was announced by time.
